My name is Anna Thompson and I am the Lead Teacher of Exceptional Village Academy. I have a Bachelor of Science in Special Education and a Master of Science in Teaching Special Education. I have 28 years of traditional teaching and have fallen in love with virtual teaching.  This is my fourth year as the Lead Teacher of EVA. I teach all major subjects but I do have a favorite, math. If a student has math anxiety, or are afraid to take risks in class, they won't for long. I use a variety of strategies to reach all learning types and make sure students reply to questions discreetly and are given feedback in private. No one is ever told they are wrong at EVA, just given direction on how to get the answer. Math may be my strength but writing is my weakness. So to provide feedback and guidance in this area I have enlisted the help of Mrs. Renee Knox. Mrs. Knox has a bachelor's degree in Psychology and is currently working on her Master of Arts degree in Creative Writing. We are grateful to have her.
