✨ Learning at EVA ✨

EVA offers many ways to learn!

Live Zoom Classes
Some students thrive on the social interaction, discussion, and encouragement that come with live sessions. For these learners, EVA provides supportive, teacher-led Zoom classes where they can ask questions in real time, collaborate with peers, and experience the benefits of a connected learning community.

EVA classes are built with flexibility, clarity, and creativity, so every student can truly connect with what they’re learning. From core academics to hands-on electives, our offerings meet the needs of students of all backgrounds, learning styles, and goals.

Core Courses

These are the foundational academic courses that students take to stay on track toward graduation. All core courses are standards-aligned, taught live on Zoom, and built to honor different ways of thinking, learning, and showing what you know. With room for student voice and choice, each course supports homeschool families in creating a learning experience that fits.

English 8–12 (Literature, Writing Lab, Critical Thinking)

Our English courses guide students through the essentials of reading, writing, and communication while encouraging creativity and independent thought. Each grade level blends classic and contemporary literature with meaningful writing practice. Students build confidence as readers, writers, and thinkers through:

  • Literature – Exploring diverse texts that expand perspective, spark discussion, and deepen understanding of the world.

  • Writing Lab – Developing skills in narrative, persuasive, expository, and creative writing with opportunities for student choice and voice.

  • Critical Thinking – Strengthening analysis, interpretation, and argumentation through discussion, projects, and real-world connections.

Whether preparing for high school, college, or life beyond the classroom, our English program equips students with the tools to communicate effectively, think critically, and express themselves with clarity and confidence.

Math 8–12 (Pre-Algebra, Algebra I, Geometry, Financial Literacy, Business Math) -

* Students must enroll in a Zoom Supported course, the Full Support Program, or one-on-one tutoring to access math courses. Math courses are now enrolling.

Our math program helps students build strong problem-solving skills and apply math with confidence in school and life. Courses range from foundational skills in Pre-Algebra Readiness to advanced applications in Geometry. Students explore both academic and real-world pathways through Algebra I, Financial Literacy, and Business Math, preparing them for higher-level math, college, careers, and everyday decision-making.

Science 8–12 (Earth Science, Physical Science, Biology, Chemistry, Environmental Science, Psychology)

Our science program encourages curiosity and critical thinking while connecting learning to the real world. Students explore the foundations of Earth and Physical Science before moving into deeper studies of life, matter, and the environment. From the building blocks of Biology and Chemistry to the big-picture challenges of Environmental Science, students develop both scientific knowledge and problem-solving skills. Psychology is also offered as an introduction to the study of human thought and behavior, giving students the opportunity to connect science to everyday life and future career paths.

Social Studies 8–12 (Movements & Social Change, African American History: Struggle, Strength & Legacy, African American Studies: History, Culture & Identity, World History & Global Connections, World Geography & Cultures, U.S. History & Civic Identity, U.S. Government & Citizenship, Personal Finance & Everyday Economics)

Our social studies program helps students understand the past, connect it to the present, and think critically about the future. Courses explore history, geography, culture, and civic life from multiple perspectives, encouraging students to see how people and events shape society. From the study of world cultures and global connections to the struggles and legacies of African American history, students gain a deeper understanding of identity, justice, and social change. U.S. History and Government courses prepare students to engage as informed citizens, while Personal Finance and Economics provide the real-world knowledge needed to make thoughtful choices in everyday life.

Electives (10 Weeks Each)
