Anna Thompson
Exceptional Homeschool Educator & Tutor

Anna Thompson is a Georgia-certified educator with over 30 years of experience helping students grow in confidence, character, and academic purpose. She holds both a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in special education, and has spent her career working with students across a wide range of abilities — from gifted learners to those with academic challenges, learning differences, and social-emotional needs.
Most of Anna’s classroom experience has been with middle and high school students, and the insight, patience, and steady presence she built during those years continue to guide everything she does today.
As the founder and lead teacher of Exceptional Village Academy, Anna partners with homeschool families to offer one-on-one tutoring, custom curriculum development, and small group online learning. She designs learning experiences that adapt to each student’s needs, making space for their voice, their pace, and their growth.
Anna is especially passionate about creating safe, encouraging spaces where students who learn differently can thrive, build confidence, and rediscover the joy in learning.
