Flexible Learning Pathways
Personalized Options to Fit Your Needs
At Exceptional Village Academy, we believe learning should work for the student — not the other way around. That’s why we offer multiple pathways that allow students to move through their education with flexibility, structure, and support. Whether you're enrolled full-time or returning to finish what you started, these options give you the freedom to learn in a way that fits your needs, your pace, and your life.
Below are three distinct learning models that honor different circumstances and goals — all grounded in EVA’s commitment to student growth, academic integrity, and real support.
Independent Program
Structure and Support, Without the Schedule
Open to students in grades 8–12, the Independent Program is perfect for learners who want to work at their own pace, without live Zoom classes. It’s fully digital and guided — students submit assignments online and receive teacher feedback through email and scheduled phone check-ins.
Even though students work independently, they’re still enrolled in EVA’s traditional program and may participate in electives, Sharing Day, and community events if they choose.
This program works best for:
-
Students managing medical needs, travel, or changing schedules
-
Families seeking structured homeschool support with grading
-
EVA students who need a season of independence
-
Learners who thrive without group instruction
Program Features:
-
100% self-paced coursework
-
No live Zoom sessions
-
Email feedback and optional phone check-ins
-
Instructional videos and rubrics provided
-
Optional participation in electives and Sharing Day
-
Aligned to EVA’s academic standards and course offerings
Hybrid Program
A Balanced Blend of Support and Independence
The Hybrid Program is designed for students who benefit from one-on-one instruction in specific subjects (like math) but prefer independent learning in other areas. This flexible option is customized for each student based on their needs, learning style, and goals.
Hybrid students remain active in EVA’s community, with access to electives, Sharing Day, and special events.
This program works best for:
-
Students who need targeted help in one or two subjects
-
Learners who need a flexible weekly schedule
-
Families looking for a customized blend of tutoring and coursework
-
Students transitioning between academic models
Program Features:
-
One-on-one sessions in selected subjects
-
Independent, self-paced coursework in all other areas
-
Access to electives, Sharing Day, and EVA events
-
Weekly routine designed around the individual student
-
Continued enrollment in EVA’s core program
Continuation Program
A Private Path to Graduation
The Continuation Program is for students who started high school elsewhere but didn’t finish — and are now ready to return and complete their diploma on their own terms. This program is fully separate from EVA’s main student body and provides a quiet, self-paced experience designed specifically for returning learners.
To qualify, students must have completed at least one high school credit within the last 10 years. A minimum of 6 credits must be earned through EVA to receive an official EVA diploma.
This program works best for:
-
Students who left high school before graduating
-
Older learners returning after time away
-
Individuals who prefer a quiet, private academic setting
-
Students who want a fully self-paced diploma option
Program Features:
-
No live classes or group sessions
-
No elective participation or community events
-
Customized plan based on transcript review
-
Feedback provided via email
-
Private enrollment, separate from traditional students
-
EVA diploma awarded after completion of required credits
At EVA, we don’t believe in one-size-fits-all education. These flexible pathways are here to meet you where you are — and help you move forward with confidence, clarity, and support.
