The EVA Experience

More Than an Online School

Exceptional Village Academy is more than live Zoom classes and coursework. It's a learning experience intentionally designed to help students grow academically, creatively, socially, and personally.

Every part of EVA works together to prepare students not only for graduation, but for whatever comes next.

Lead Teacher Model

Every student is supported by a dedicated lead teacher who knows them well and guides their academic journey from year to year. Support teachers and specialists enrich the experience through creative electives, Spanish, enrichment opportunities, and specialized instruction while maintaining the consistency families value.

Foundation Years

Grades 9 and 10 are designed for exploration.

Students strengthen executive functioning, develop independence, discover how they learn best, and explore a variety of interests before making decisions about their future.

Application Years

Grades 11 and 12 are designed for purpose.

Students take greater ownership of their education, choose electives within a creative pathway, and prepare for college, careers, entrepreneurship, military service, technical training, or whatever path they choose after graduation.

EVA Pathways

Beginning with the 2026 cohort, students explore seven creative pathways before selecting one during their Applied Years.

  • Digital Photography

  • Industrial Arts

  • Culinary Arts

  • Digital Arts

  • Performing Arts

  • Literary Arts

  • Applied Arts

Students build a portfolio of projects that reflects their interests, creativity, and growth throughout high school.

The EVA Learning Network

Learning doesn't stop when Zoom ends.

Families connect through library meetups, educational travel, service projects, local gatherings, and optional community experiences across the country. Rooted in Atlanta and connected across communities, EVA is building a growing learning network where students develop meaningful relationships beyond the virtual classroom.

Leadership & Service

Leadership is learned by serving others.

Students have opportunities to mentor younger learners, assist with school events, participate in service initiatives, and contribute to the growth of the EVA community.

Emerald & Gold Gala Weekend

Each spring, the EVA community gathers in the Atlanta area, the founding home of Exceptional Village Academy, to celebrate another year of learning.

Students, families, alumni, and staff come together for a weekend of connection, celebration, and tradition as we honor our graduates and the legacy we are building together.

Excellence. Culture. Legacy.

Everything at EVA is built around three guiding values.

Excellence means encouraging every student to pursue their personal best.

Culture means creating a community where students feel seen, respected, and connected.

Legacy means helping students build lives of purpose while contributing something meaningful to those who come after them.
